The central government may soon announce an increase in dearness allowance in the interest of employees. It is expected that the central government can give a hand to the government employees by taking a decision to increase DA before Holi. If the government declares to increase the DA, then 50 lakh government employees and 61 lakh pensioners will benefit all over the country. The dates for the assembly elections to be held in 5 states of the country have been announced. In such a situation, an increase in dearness allowance can also be announced to make government employees happy.
Tripura government increased three percent DA
Meanwhile, there is good news for the government employees of Tripura. Here the state government has announced a 3% increase in dearness allowance (DA) of employees and pensioners. As per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief have been increased. The hike in DA and DR will come into effect from March 1. State Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the state government would spend an amount of Rs 320 crore in the next financial year to increase the DA and dearness relief (DR) by 3 percent for its employees.
Economy collapsed due to Corona epidemic
Significantly, the economy of the country was destroyed in the Corona epidemic. From April last year, it was decided to give DA old rate of 17 percent to government employees only. This arrangement made by the Central Government will remain in force till 21 June 2021. The central government has already announced a two-and-a-half-fold increase in family pension.
